not reef safe fish ok with lps?

I know this is a long shot- but are there any cool fish that you generally cant keep with SPS, but generally do ok with LPS

I know the rules for sps, but didnt know if there were any cool butterflys or angels that dont go after lps

Unfortunately, LPS are usually the corals of choice for coral nibbling & munching. The meatier And more attractive ones get the most love (as in love eating this..). Trachyphyllia is some times called "Angel Crack" around here.

I suppose the fish that naturally eat SPS would fall into this category, but then they are usually the most difficult species to adapt to aquarium foods.

I don't know about anyone else's experience but we have had good luck with the pyramid butterflies leaving our LPS alone in our tank.

Yes, these and Zoster are planktivores. I have excellent luck with them. But I cannot say they are 100% reef safe despite having four in my primarily LPS tank.

My emp has made all my sps close up and it doesn't even pay attention to any of my zoas softies or lps. Even my derasa is all open and beautiful. I bought it in hopes that it wouldn't eat any lps, but instead it turned to the ones I thought was safe, and the ones I cared for most :lol: Oh well, that's the reef for ya. You never know.

All fish are individuals, like any other animal, including humans. Some are safe to have around...
And then you have your vandals, psychopaths, & criminals. Just that simple.
I find it unhelpful to generalize too much regarding "Reef Safe" ( Term needs to be retired IMHO!) fish.
