Not so rosey for a rose anenome

I have had a rose anenome for 5 months--hosted comfortably with a clarkie clown.
Each day when the halides come on the anemone spreads out from under its rock. Every second day it would take a feeding of a large raw shrimp.
For the last week it refuses to come out fully from its rock and expand--it has not looked for food. The amount of it I can observe still looks really healthy--has good colour.

Is there a problem here--or is this normal?

An anemone will shrink up on occasion to extrude waste from itself, but I would watch it carefully. Make sure your salinity is near natural sea water. I've found that my anemones prefer smaller food pieces even though they can take in a whole table shrimp or silverside, I always cut them into chunks no larger than a pea. This aids in faster and more complete digestion with a benefit of less waste.

all the tank parameters are near to natural and very stable.
I thin by your post--and thanks--that I might have given it too big a meal----what happens then--do they just not want to eat for a long time--which explain this ones behaviour.
