Hey Guys,

Been following this website for a while, finally decided to make an account. I DESPERATELY need to find out what these clowns are.

I'm buying these clowns this week, and I cant quite figure out the specific type they are. He calls them "Fancy Whites"; a mix between Wyoming whites and something else?

Please help me! My curiosity is KILLING ME!!!

Thanks Guys!

fancy for sure. Honestly, it looks like a bit of bad breeding went into the one on the right. His skeletal structure isn't quite up to par.

IMHO, those are hybreds. Ocellaris/percula. The sideburns can be traced all the way back to the very first male "ORA Picasso". The short dorsal fin also indicates they have percula blood. The "helmet" is from a C-quest ocellaris, and later showed up in Sustainable Aquatic's "Fancy Whites". The eyes also look ocellaris to me. I believe that somewhere along the line, someone bred a Picasso with a helmet sporting ocellaris.

Mayboi alot of these fish show up with physical deformities. Since these are relatovely new hybrids we dont know if these deformities are signs of other problems.

A lot of hybrid breeding going on lately those look like picasso at the end of the day you have a nice lookin pair of clowns

Should I be worried for these clowns then? They're about 2 years old and have been perfectly healthy and eating well their whole lives, always quarantined as a pair..

Doesn't really matter what they are to me, I still love them, I'm just curious for the naming.. Looks like some Picasso mix :D

Thought you guys would be interested, I did a bit more research based on the name "fancy white clownfish" and I was able to find a few images that resemble mine, slightly different white area, but they show the same "deformity" of the head to shoulders..
