polyp exstention is already getting better

I just want to say thank you for the almost daily pictures! It's nice to see the growth in your system.

I ended up getting a new unit (got a cheap one) due to the fact that the other unit would cost about a grand to get working again so....

I bought a 250 gen-ex. it seems too function good and less than 100 bucks. The bummer is the constant regen of the dessicant. Do you have a source for bulk dessicant? My old unit did it on its own but its too much to keep it online

Not really. Seems like I bought a bucket of color changing dessicant from mcmaster.com years ago. Kept multiple cannisters ready- capped barbed ends. Then cooked it all at once on a cookie sheet and refilled the canisters.
You can buy a lot of the cheap stuff and a small bit of color changing. Mix them thoroughly. This way its cheaper to buy, and you only need to see a few blue beads to tell if its used up.
Maybe your DI resin guy can get it cheap for you?

no the di source is all water purification and they dont have such a thing. Ive looked in the past for some but never found a souce. Id like to come up with a canister you could use a hair dryer or a heat gun and make your own manual regen system.

That wouldnt be too hard. There a re lots of air driers for compressors that work that way. 2 tubes so one can keep working while the second regenerates. I think they simply use a heating element in the center of the tube.

ok these are actually worth looking at
