Nov NARC Meeting (CARC invited also)

We need to set the time for the meeting firmly so that the majority of people will be there at the same time. Tammy and Jason initially set it at 3:00 pm. Remember it's on Sunday again. Is 3:00 PM convenient for the majority of the people coming to the meeting? If so, we will start the meeting at 3:00 pm. So far I see that sdieringer is the only person that finds 3:00 PM timing inconvenient.

We have soft drinks and chips from the last meeting. Is anyone bringing anything else?

Casper5096 - If you are going to put clownfish in your 20L, I recommend just two clownfish. When two of them pair up eventually, third one will be picked on a lot. Amazingly, these little guys quirrel a lot. How many fish do you have in your 20L?

Tomoko

They are only going to be in the 20L for a short while. I am setting up a 40 Breeder just for these little guys:) . I only have 1 chromis and 1 red lip blenny and 1 CB shrimp in the 20. Other than some CUC. I could wait a few more weeks until the 40 is going good if you think they would be in any danger in the 20??

They should be fine in 20L for a short while. Clownfish should be kept as a pair instead of a trio, unless you intend to keep a bunch of them in a small space to reduce their aggression just like fresh water cichlid keepers do. I would not place all three in a 40 permanently, either. If you intend to keep a pair in your 40 and one in 20, you can go ahead and place all three in your 20 for the time being, provided that they are kept together for a relatively short time.

Our address is 1673 co. rd. 385 Cullman Al. 35057. A google map does very well but here is some turn by turn directions for everyone. Exit 304 off I-65. Follow signs leading you to Smith Lake Park. You are now on hwy 69. Go 4.1 milesto county road #813 turn right,go 1.6 miles to county road 385(smithlake sign) turn left, follow rd around camp ground, rd will make three sharp turns then turn to gravel, at 3 way split go left to the blue house at the end. Everyone is welcome to bring anything they want to trade or sell from frags to extra equipment. Thank you all in advance for coming, Jason and Tammy.

I normally leave it to the host to set the time. If no one else objects to 3:00 pm, we can leave it at 3:00 pm since the time does not seem to matter much to Jason and Tammy. I believe that the original intention for setting it at 3:00 pm on Sunday was to accommodate those who cannot usually come to an early meeting or a Saturday meeting.

Sorry to say things have changed, I will not be able to make it to this one. Look FWD to seeing you all next month, Happy Thanksgiving to all.

3:00 is fine with us, we look forward to seeing all of you that can make it. We have soda, cups, plates, chips and small meat-type finger food. Any cookies or desert type things would be good, possibly a bag of ice?

Sorry, forgot to mention that several folks want to swap frags, etc. Please feel free to bring anything you'd like to trade. We've got a few little air pumps and bubble stones to make our fish guests comfortable. We have a few wild caught anemones (rock, we think). Also a couple of hermit crabs if anyone is interested.

We will bring the ice and some sweets. Does anyone have or know of anyone with a stand for a 75 gallon tank. The dimensions are 48'' by 20". Also, does anyone have any live sand or rocks for sale?

It was a great meeting. Thank you very much, Tammy and Jason, for your hospitatily. You have very interesting set up's :) It was good to see the familiar faces and really nice to see some newcomers as well. Hope you all enjoyed the fun get together. Please forward my thanks to Jason and Tammie for an excellent meeting. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversations, swapping ideas, tank inspections and tours, and meeting the new people.
