November Meeting!

Hello CORA members!

The month of November is usually reserved for our club elections, but since no one was nominated the current officers will continue in their current capacity next year.

So we thought it'd be fun to get together and do something CORA's never done.
Watch a Buckeye game together as a group.
So come on out next Saturday the 14th and root the Buckeyes on to victory over the Hawkeyes.

We could also use this time to discuss what members may want for the coming year, any club issues, and just talk reefs and have a good time.

Saturday November 14 3:30
Baja Joe's
http://www.baja-joes.com/Home.php
1200 Noe-Bixby Road, right @ Main & I-270 (the old Don Pablo's)

Come out and watch the Buckeyes ruin the Hawkeyes perfect season.

I just also wanted to mention that we are on the hunt for a new meeting place. The clubhouse has begun to charge us anytime we want to meet there, so it isn't in the club's best interest anymore to have meetings there. Thats part of the reason this month's meeting was on such short notice. The other was that we were talking about what we wanted to do this month since it will not be to vote, and the time got away from us. Our apologies for that.

Hopefully there will be an area at Baja Joes where it wont be crazy noisey and we will be able to bounce ideas off each other for 2010 meetings. We have a few things planned, including another 'homemade fish food' meeting, and a frag rack workshop put on graciously by our own GEO, but would also like to hear what our members would like to see at the meetings. Some will be casual get togethers like this months, while others will be workshops, speakers, etc.

So who is planning on attending next weekend?

Group Buy Phyo still left

Group Buy Phyo still left

We still have the dicounted Phytoplankton from the group buy left.
We have, I think, 1 of the 32 ox mutil packs
Also a couple of the 64 oz multi packs
Let me know if anyone is intereseted and I can bring to the meeting tomorrow.

5.02 Notification - Notification of general meetings shall be posted on the website, club forum and sent through the current email list. Notifications of meetings will be sent out no later than 14 days prior to the meeting.

Posted on the CORA Forum on 11/5/2009 for a meeting on 11/14/2009...

Too bad you are not doing the DIY Moonlight project I had planned for November instead of watching football and drinking $6 pitchers

The short notification was already covered here and on the CORA site Ken. And if you hadn't been removed from office as CORA President for, among other things, ethics violations, including accessing the member database and reading member's private messages, then ultimately banned from the CORA site for threatening to e-mail that entire database out with all members passwords, etc., you would know that. Even the new CORA account you tried to spy with, and were PMing members with, has been de-activated.

Dont worry Ken, we'll toast a beer today to getting along without you. Its not been a problem so far.

As far as the DIY lighting, we're currently looking at a much less expensive path for our members (Thanks to the help of Szwab and a couple other members here on RC) and will have a much cheaper and more reliable setup to present at one of the 2010 meetings. But thanks for bringing that up so our members can have something to look forward to in 2010.

Mods. My apologies for getting what may be considered by you to be political here. Our past President seems to want to continue to stir the pot in here(RC) and the CORA site by posting things like this as well as PMing our members through the RC site and the CORA site(under a second username on CORA until it was banned also) underminding our club, since he was removed. Please feel free to edit out anything you feel may be too political in nature.

Members, we all (CORA Officers) apologize for this having to creep its way into our meeting thread. Hopefully the Mods at RC will see that our past President is still not willing to take responsibility for his inappropriate past actions and does not have the best interest of the club in mind when he posts things like this in our meeting thread, and will remind him what this forum is for.

You guys are going to play this out elsewhere. Either because you heed my warning, or because you give me no option but removing you from this community. It's your choice, and this is the only warning you'll get.

I'd close this thread and tell you to start a new one, but considering that your meeting is today, we're going to rely on adults being adults, and leave this one open.

Let me be clear, I am not interested in the behind the scenes drama in your club, or any other. However, abuse of RC's private message system IS a bannable offense here. Anyone that has one of the aforementioned PMs that would like to forward it to me for review is encouraged to do so.
