November meeting

I was hopeing I would be able to make it this time but the wife booked a flight to New Mexico for a little vacation from the crush,. I will not argue with her choice. She has a lot planned for us. Will try for the Dec. meeting Mike

I like the idea of people bringing frags to exchange and to give away. Sort of an imformal frag swap. I have another idea I'll post in a separate thread.

Good thing I looked at this today I almost had a meeting with myself at the union hotel...I thought it was tonight. See you all next Friday. I think it has been 2 months for me! BTW my B-day is next tue...wink wink....trying really hard to get my levels figured out...still not getting the growth at least as much as i want. I'll get it eventually.
 
I have an ora blue mille and a green mille. If any wants to trade for some LPS of some kind. They are starting to brown out because I am still using my lights off my 29 and the T5s just aren't enough for the sps. Hopefully santa will bring me some halides.
 
I have a few frags of a chalice sometimes sold as 'hollywood stunner' that have healed up after fragging if you'd like to trade a piece of it for your green mille... lemme know!

Jake I just reread your post. what kind of zoas or palys do you have? Maybe some tubbs blue or nuclear greens or purple death? I also have frag of a tyree green toadstool if anyone is interested?
 
Its only maybe an inch and a half. And it has started to brown out under my t5s. It was bought from cesars as an ORA coral. It hasn't been doing that great since I upgraded my tank. So I'm just
trying to get rid of all my sps till I get my halides.
 
It's great to do some trading,but try to bring some nice pieces for a swap. The swaps have been pretty terrible for a long time and if everyone goes all out for this one maybe we'll get the momentum going again
 
So what is considered a nice piece? I like the raffle idea, because I don't have a lot to trade. Frags of my acropora valida have died, so the only thing left to trade is watermelon mushrooms. Not sure if that is up to par.
 
I also like the idea of a raffle too. Also because I don't have much to trade right now. Hey Jake and Nate the green and blue mille are not doing good right now. You guys want to take them and let me know if and when they come back then I'll take those frags. I wouldn't feel right if took your frags and then the frags I gave you died.None of my sps did well after the move.:(
 
I'm fine with taking a chance on your mille (thanks for the heads up on its current state of health!). I realize the lighting may be part of the problem, but I've noticed my mille's (and most of my montipora) are among the first to start doing poorly when my alk levels get too low (as happens more often than I care to admit)... so you might want to double check yours, just to be safe!

In the meantime, the trade is still on! :-)
