I read plenty of articles and blogs online (glad to have finally joined this community) and as much as I get out of them I still prefer print. I'm a relatively new aquarist (>2 years w/ freshwater) and am looking to make the jump to saltwater/reef eventually.
I've done some searching on this site, keywords included 'books' and 'magazines' but I didn't quite find what I was looking for.
After research elsewhere it seems some of the top magazines available are Coral, Advanced Aquarist, FAMA (stopped producing print a few years ago
), and Reef Keeping (reefcentral's own?). I'd like to hear y'all's opinions on these before I actually go out and get a subscription. Which are the best for quality content, helpful photos/diagrams, current events/issues, and feature respected individuals in the field?
As far as books go I don't know where to begin. At least with some of these magazines I can get a feel for their style by reading free released articles.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Narrow Sea Fish here looking forward to learning about and discussing the hobby with you all!
