O. scyllarus high-speed video of strike

I 've just heard from the producers at BBC that 'Animal Camera' will air in the U.S. sometime in April. It will be on the Animal Planent network. Part of the program deals with our research on how stomatopods strike and it will include some strike sequences shot in color at 5000 frames per second. I don't know exactly when the program will air and I will be on Lizard Island chasing stomatopods much of the month, but hopefully someone will see the listing and post it.

If you want to get deeper into this subject, a note describing a new model of how the stomatopod strike operates has been accepted by the journal Nature and will be published in the next couple of months.

Dr. Gonodactylus! Doing any collecting at Lizard Island? Just curious what you might find....Also- any ideas about placing a neogonodactylus wennerae in a 20 g. with LR and a fuzzy dwarf lionfish? (forgot the genus-species name) Any help would be great- since the mantis is coming in 4 days! (I have another tank I can use, also)
