I know the weather is a little rough for diving at this time. So the next best thing to do is go Salmon fishing. Season starts tomorrow. Is anyone going? Or have our resident divers already been out Shane Treesmoker???? Hope to have my fish before noon so I can take a nap later. Best of luck to those who go out and I'll wave if I see you.

I'm not going out...the waves are 10 foot + a guy on opening day had to be rescued by cost guard in Sonoma county already....freaking idiots.....I think you need to have a divers safety course before you can buy an abalone card. Just like they do for hunting. The smart people will think it is annoying but the dumb people may not get killed or need the Coast Guard to rescue them at cost the tax payers expense. I’m sure it is thousands every time someone is rescued.

But let me know how salmon season treats you. I think it has been closed for 2 years right?

Mike how was the fishing? I'm looking forward to getting out and getting some salmon this year. There's nothing like fresh salmon.

I agree, from swimming in the ocean to cooking on the grill in a few hours, fresh salmon is amazing! I am sad about the collapse of the wild salmon population.

Weather conditions did not favor a prosperous outing. We had a 21 footer but the swells/rollers did not allow for it to be any fun. My buddy was in a really big North River craft and put fish in the box. My life is not worth a fish in the crazy weather. We got out there weather was relatively nice but the seas told a different story. Gots lots of vacation time,so I will be out there by next friday as long as the weather holds out.

Clayspst Are you in the C.G. out of Two Rock or Point Reyes. My Son in Law is living on BAse currently out in 2 Rock. He has reassignment and is going out to Pt Reyes doing what ever he did back in Kodiak and out in Cape Canaveral.
