Occelaris and carpet anemone

Hi,
I want to buy a carpet anemone but i want to make sure my occelaris clowns would be safe with it. Would this anemone try to eat them? Or would it be unusual for it to happen?

I would say it would be unusual, but not impossible. I'm assuming you're referring to S. haddoni when you say carpet. Less commonly imported and more difficult and not for beginners.

it shouldnt eat them. now with your other fish... watch out. ive been lucky mine is small enough and i have moonlights which help to keep other fish out of its sticky embrace so far

Well i intend to put the anemone in a tank which has only my 2 black and white occelaris. I don't intend to put any other fish in there. I'm just worried about my 2 clowns because i had such a hard time getting them. I know they are easy to find in the US but here in New-Brunswick, Canada, they are impossible to find. I had to have them shipped from Toronto. It would break my heart to loose one of them not to mention that it would be costly.
I think i'll get a small carpet(hadonni) and see how it goes.

Wish me luck. :)

It would be unusual for them to be eaten by the Haddoni. It does happen though. (rarely) I have a blue Haddoni with my B&W Occelaris. They love it. Good luck.

Ok thanks . Now finding such an anemone here is not an easy task, I'll need luck and lots of money. ;)
