ocellaris and percula

what is the difference between an ocellaris and a percula, other than the ocellaris being less aggressive? are ocellaris easier to breed? my lfs just got a bunch of tiny percs in, but i have requested them to get a mated pair of ocellaris. should i just get the percs or wait for the mated pair?

For most LFS: Percs=Ocellaris. True Percs=Percula. There are slight diffences between the two. Once you look at enough of them, you can tell most of the time. The obvious is the coloration with Percula have more black than Ocellaris. However there are Percula with all orange body coloration.

I've noticed True percs having much more black than False percs

If you like them, I'd get them. A mated pair may be expensive. You can watch them grow.

I don't know if its always true but I've noticed Ocellaris have a shorter stubby head compared to true Percula. Just something I had noticed when I had both in my tank..
