alright someone tell me what i just witnessed lol.

I have 2 new ocellaris clowns ... i noticed one turn horizontal and kind of shutter a couple times and then acted like everything was normal after that.

Is this normal or is this an indication of a problem?

I also noticed he has a small part of one of his front "stabilizer" fins missing... which i believe was perfectly intact when he came to me. I believe the other clown is responsible for it.

Most likely the other clown established dominance and nipped that fin, and this one, and I'm guessing smaller of the two, is showing signs of submission, very normal, you should have what we call a bonded pair soon as long as she accepts.
The twitch is normal

That seizure is the clownfish being submissive to the dominant one, totally normal. It is best to get clownfish of different sizes to minimize the challenges for dominance which the dominant one will become the female.

there similar in size... both quite small... the one that is showing this twitch is actually the slightly larger one... go figure.

how quickly do fins generally grow back?

Fairly quick and the dominant one will grow much quicker.
When they are very young and small, and similar in size, the more aggressive one will just take over, the other will have a slower growth period.
They should end up w/ male about 3/4 size of female before too long.

What they said or he got a micro bubble on one of his gills and tickling him and he's trying to shake it off. Lol

I notice both my male and female do this once in a while especially when micro bubbles are present.

Mine did it when she was bring dominant and turning into a female. Completely normal. Also does it to its host. She's very rough lol
