ocellaris or percula?

i have reason to belive that one of my clowns is an ocellaris and one is a true percula. any opinions please? i had one for about 2 months and just added the second a week ago and get along great.

if they are indeed both ocellaris will the duller colored one color up as well as the nice one?any other opinions? thanks alot

well there both def. not true percs, they have alot of black in their stripes, one could be a false perc???/

Both are ocellaris, a.k.a. "false perculas". The colors may very well improve, but I think the one will stay a little better looking. Either way, they are nice and healthy looking clowns.

can't you tell the difference from occel and percs by the color of the eyes? the percs have a white rim?

No, perculas just have less black in their eyes, more black in their stripes, and less dorsal spines.

yeah they are both false......i've had this question before, my clowns are the same way, and they are both falses sorry best pic i can find

They were probably fed different things. My oscellaris clown was very bright when I got her then dulled out some. I changed her diet and she is a bright orange again.
