I have a benny and a Bimac that are the best of buddies. They play all day long back on forth chasing each other. The benny will even drop a baby clam on the octo and the octo pries it open and they share it together. Its really something to see. I got my Bimac at http://www.octopets.com and Jim there sells alot of other thing for octo to. Also on the Blue ring why all the fear I have had over 32 differant kinds of cobra's for over thirty years now and just one bite from them and your a goner with them to. I found it to be better company than most human's.

Happy New Year

blue rings are just not for all kinds of people.

Some people buy them to show up, some buy them to keep an exotic pet, some buy to learn about them, some buy to breed, some buy because of their colours, some people dont even know that they are deadly, etc etc...

IMO this octo is for advanced aquarists who have been keeping and researching octos for years not the ones who is trying to keep just a deadly animal

Actually I think the baby cobras venom has yet to develop into the full strength version of a semi-adult cobra.

Also the cobra venom has an anti-venom treatment regement. I am not all that sure if there is one for a blue ring octo. If there is, it's not going to be as redily available as a snake anti-venom. (Depends on your area of course)

Those baby cobras sure are cute.

There is no anti-venom for Tetrodotoxin. The only effective treatment in most cases is ventillation of the person who has been bitten. If oxygen levels in the blood can be kept up, the person will probably recover. This may take several hours.
