We nearly broke even (and that was Great News, given the huge investment we made this year), but we were only down a hundred bucks. I hate the word bi-monthly. No one ever knows if that is twice a month or every other month....lol

Yeah, either that or semi-monthly. I like to say every two weeks or every every other month or something like that. The problem is that some people (like me) will think they know what you mean and won't ask questions, then leave with the wrong impression.

Definition of BIMONTHLY

LMAO!

bi·month·ly adj \(ˌ)bī-ˈmən(t)th-lē\

Definition of BIMONTHLY

1: occurring every two months
2: occurring twice a month = semimonthly

Most people get paid (basically) Bi-Weekly. Understand now?

(And don't even start in on me about 24 pay periods vs. 26 pay periods; otherwise I may have to hurt you...)

:debi:

That's the problem with the English language... you have to learn it to use it. Just remember by the word "bi-centennial" as in the celebration of our country's 200 year old birthday... (oops, most of you youngsters probably don't remember that either!)... or you could think of a "semi-annual" report... twice a year.... (having a report due once every two years would be pretty silly!) Or a semi-circle... half a circle....

Once a professor, always a professor...!
