odd behavior RBTA

I have a female Tomato clown and a huge long tentcale anemone in my 75g reef tank. I bought a juvenile Tomato and put it in my frag tank for a couple of days while waiting to get a breeder box for use in introducing the new clown to the female in the reef tank. The frag tank has a small RBTA and the new clown took to it in a day or two. So when I put the breeder box in the reef I also put in the small rock with the RBTA on it. So far everything is fine.

After the 2 clowns became friendly (about 2 weeks) I pulled the RBTA out and set it on the reef and the new clown used it for 3 or 4 days. No problem. But the female started coming over to the RBTA and would rub her face in it. This happened over and over. After a couple of days the RBTA wouldn't open any more? The 2 clowns are now living together in the long tentacle. I moved the RBTA back to the frag tank and after a couple of days it has started opening up again.

Is it possible that the RBTA just didn't like the big female rubbing her face in it? Or is it that something on the female from the Long Tentacle anemone was being rubbed off and irritating the RBTA?
