I have this gig over 4 years now, and the pair of clown claim it as a home for about a year. it was sitting in a cut down plastic chinese take-out soup cup for as long as I can remember. a few days ago I got a magnetic cave for it, the move was smoothish, at one point the carpet wrap around both of my hands and pull off maybe about 1-200 tentacles. after it settles into its new home happily, it comes out the next day and had a big happy meal too. the carpet now about 4" away from where it used to be. so far so good, right!? but here's the odd part, I noticed the clown pair no longer in the carpet anymore, just swim around where it used to be. first few days I thought no big deal, they will go into it soon enough. this morning, I noticed the big female was sleeping in my red goni about 4' from the carpet at the opposite side of the tank and the male still hang around the carpet but not in it, when I return this afternoon, the female already swim back to the same old spot. so I go ahead and do my feeding and decide to feed the carpet too. the pair of clown now try to go back in, but as soon as they touch by the carpet, they seem got stung and swim away. they tried for a handful of time then goes back to the same spot. the carpet shouldn't notice the clown because they should wear a carpet mucus. so i stay and watch for a few mins, the clown after about 20mins try to go in again, same results. is that possible when i remove the carpet cause it to change the mucus and now notice the clown when they try to go in?
