Odontodactylus scyllarus - Hapalochlaena battle

One aspect of behavior that we have been looking at is how predators such as stomatopods and octopus interact and make decisions on whether to attack or flee. To that end, I've been putting O. scyllarus and H. lunulata of differing sizes together. I have an incredible video clip of a titanic battle that I would like to share on the web, but after a frustrating day with Adobe Premier, I've only been able to edit it down to 35 seconds and 100 mb. (Actually, I did get it down to 15 mb, but the quality was so bad I wouldn't want anyone to see it.) When my video editing and posting skills improve, I'll try to get it on the web. Until then, you will just have to trust me when I say that it is some of the most compelling video I have ever shot.

I would love to see that! You can load up to 10 minute videos onto Photobucket Roy. Have you tried that at all?

You can contact Beerguy via pm or Beerguy@reefcentral com and he said he'd take care of it for you.
