Odor and Mortality

Does anyone else think this is funny? From the back of a bottle of DT's phytoplankton....
It sounds like the name of an avant garde play.

On a more serious note... just started using this product (for my poor fan worms - who seem unhappy). I've been using it a couple days and haven't seen a difference. My remaining fan worms still look unhappy. How long will it take until I see a difference? What deleterious side-effects I should expect? Is there any trick to using this stuff? Just pour in the recommended dosage?

I know what you mean.
Joy Meadows turned me onto DT's when she was operating her coral/clam farm in Indiana years ago. (Now she's a big shot at Ice Cap or something.)

Anyways, if it smells bad don't use it.
A good rule for everything

Stick to the recommended dosage. Tridacna love it.

As far as the odor thing goes though, I think the point of that funny little blurb is that it Does in fact smell bad - but that doesn't mean it's dead. Sulfur. In my fridge.....

I'm pretty sure its not supposed to smell real bad. I bought a batch that smelled just awful, didn't even need to get it near my nose to smell it. Took it back to the LFS and they agreed and swapped the bottle out for me. The new bottle didn't have much of a smell at all.

Really?? Hmm.... maybe I should try to smell someone else's. It does say on the bottle that it may have a strong sulfurous odor - maybe my sense of smell is more sensitive to this smell? Or maybe I should try to compare it with a different bottle.
