HOLY !@#$%^ This is alot of snow. I am knee high in Cranberry. Hope everyone and their tanks make it thru with no problems.

Way to go Julie Bologna, 6-12"?????

Yeah we are too . Going on a couple hours without power also. I need to get the generator out so then you know it will come back on

OH that sucks, having no power. I heard comcast has a major line down and thousands of people will be without tv for days. NO super-bowl, no pens games; and there's 2 feet of snow. I'm in valencia and we easily have 20-24". My wife was supposed to deliver papers for the PG, and the trib this mornig, but they said to just stay at home and deliver the papers with the Sunday issue tommarow.

Yea I love snow but this sucks. Worked 16hrs cleaning this crap up and running worker back and forth between hospitals all night...only to get stuck in a 3.5' snow drift on my way home...GRR!

nice.. that sucks.

All you people around me you are welcome.. ;)

I shoveled out part of the drive pulled out the generator and ran my extension cords. Getting ready to start it up. BOOM power came on..

Heck that aint lazy, I got 2 4x4s in the driveway, shoveled a path to the doors, lol. Stomp it to the floor and drive it like ya stole it baby!

I had to be at work at the Hampton Inn in Cranberry at 7 am today....that didnt happen. Had 3 people working non stop on a long 2 car driveway since 630 am and only got out around 930. If you dont have to be anywhere stay in today. Its a mess out there. Our 4 wheel SUV was having a rough go of the snow this morning and I live 5 min. from work.

Just about 2 feet here. I have power but no TV. This is the first year I have not gone to Florida for or have been at the Super Bowl since 04 and this is what I get. Never again. Aruba on Friday, though.... If someone shovels the runway.

Re: Off Topic......

your o level is what you need to worry about , along with your temp. when I thru the hurricanes here in Florida, I made the tank dark do the fish would sleep and manually stired the tank with a big spoon. I did that for 2 days and only had min loses. hth

I am by no means an expert, but earlier this week my daughter turned off the pumps to feed at about 10pm, then forgot to turn them back on. I didnt catch it till the following day after work at about 3:30. Tank was a little cloudy but no worse for the wear once I restarted.

I have a generator, but one time the power went out at 2 am and I didn't want to start it so I left the tank without power until 9am and all was fine.

Our power was out from 3am to about 7am according to my clocks. My tank dropped to 72. Being a gradual drop there wasnt much to worry about, and battery powered air pump or manual aeration of the water is usually all thats needed.

With that said when we lived in gibsonia we were without power for 30 hours, nothing lost.
