Flow in Nuvo 16

I have a Nuvo 16 and would like more flow. I was thinking of adding a Koralia 240 or 425. Does anyone have any suggestions on if I should go with the 240 or 425?

I've got the standard return pump, plus one Koralia 240. That seems to be providing plenty of flow for my zoas, Kenya Tree, GSPs, mushrooms, Anthelia, Xenia and a green trumpet. In fact, to make my firefish happy, I have to turn the pumps off so he'll come out for dinner.

If you've got fancy, high-end corals that like lots of flow, more pump power would be advisable, but for ordinary softies I'm happy with my K240.

I am in the process of setting up a Nuvo 40 cube. After I put my sand and rock I needed@29 gallons to fill. I wanted to add a pump for more flow to create a wave effect. I was looking at the Jabao WP10 or WP25. Does anyone use therse on their nuvo cubes and if so what size do you use? Do you like it? Where do you have it placed on the tank for best results?

Hey all. I am 2 weeks into setting up my new tank and it has cycled. I put 18lbs of live rock and 15 lbs of dry rock in. I also bought the 120W Razor 16k lighting. I currently have a small CUC of hermits and snails and am going to wait another week or two before adding a pair of Black and White Clowns.

My question is what aqua scape do you like better??

Hey buddy, I like your setup a lot. You're water looks nice and polished. I will do some digging around in your threads, but if I may ask how you are setting up your filtration to get your water so clear?

I have a Nuvo 16, just filled it up last night. I'm already not a fan of the tiny little basket stock filtration...I knew I wouldn't like it.

I really want to do some sort of micron filtration..micron filter sock or something custom. Any ideas?

Order the custom caddys for it. Then run some poly filters, carbon, and floss on one side. That will get your water nice and polished

I saw the inTank ones..I will be ordering those. Poly filters? They make those to size?

If you passed craft hour in kindergarden, you will be able to make them
You just get 8x4 or 12x12 and cut to size with some scissors. Don't run with them though!!!

Get some floss too and you will see amazing water

Does anyone know the microbubble fix

I have a Nuvo 16 with the IM Aqua Gadget skimmer and it is producing a lot of micro bubbles. Does anyone know how to stop them?
