Often Over looked..

Never Quit!!
Sometimes the most important piece of equipment gets over looked.
Do you guys remember the good old RO-DI??

Everything start with the water quality we put in our system so keeping it nice and clean and working properly should be one of our top priority. i just replaced mines so though i would remind you guys to check yours..

My pre-filters get changed very often because this happens...

:fish2::fish2:

Arlin do you check with a meter or by eye?
My system has alarms when to change and boy mine look worse then your first pic
thanks for the reminder becasue its good even to check my meter RODI to double check
it still works

I do the same thing and write on the canister ... Then change out once a year regardless.... I have yet to change my membrane ....in 2 plus years.... I guess the auto back flush does work as i am still 1:1 ratio and 0 tds!!

Perfect AFernandez!! I used to right it down on my log book for record keeping. However now with the Digital, Visual and Audible Volumizer... it reminds me!! Works like a charm!!

@ jarrett.. Yes more or less lol. I only use 75-85gallons -/+ a month X's 6months I'm under 500gallons every 6months so I'm pretty sure I can run it longer but with since the pre filters get so dirty so quick I don't take any chances. I also use a tds meter & calibrate it every so often, also check the water pressure to make sure things are working good.

@epstein. My unit is pretty old about 5-6 years old .what i do to flush is just let it run about 5-10 mins before i start collecting water . I try to keep everything working properly I'm thinking of upgrading it to a 150-200gpd system.With all the bells & whistles :)

@Harry . Hahaha glad I reminded you :)

@opg . I remmember talking to you about that volumizer sounds really cool im going to make sure to include it when I up grade the ro-di .(I know they sell it as a kit)

Mine slow down n clogs, hence the pressure drops then I have to change them

Same here!!

Last summer I was changing my pre-filters every few days.. They were working on pipes around my area making our water pretty dirty. It was so bad I felt dirty after taking showers....yuck
Dating my filters would not have worked in the above mentioned scenario.:headwally:

i change mine when i see air bubbles in my tank. This usually means the pump is sucking in air because my ato hasn't caught up with top offs due to clogged pre-filters. Its been happening a lot sooner recently, not sure why.

There may be work being done in your area. That is what happened out by me last spring thru fall last year.:uhoh3:
