Oh Joy, the last thing you want to see.

Your results may vary.....

But I placed an order a few months ago from Mr. Coral for 10 frags and I'm happy to say that all are doing well.

Like mammothreefer already stated, the store credit thing for DOA sucks, but it is what it is.

I'm glad to see yours came in good shape.

Here's a pic of the 10 pak when I got them:

I ordered from Mr Coral once, for the most part average pieces, had one DOA out of almost 40 frags. Did have about 7-9 awesome pieces. Frags are on the small side but I never mind that.

I took some photos the other nite. I just wanted to update this thread. Just to be clear. None of the pieces came in encrusted. This is all growth since I got them, but still happy none the less, and while a few pieces are looking very similar I have no brown pieces in the lot. Not the best pics..but..

This my favorite piece from the lot, not sure what it is, but has a really nice Light blue teal colour to it. Really pops.. Which is why i moved it to the rock work and off the frag rack

Looks like Mr Coral frags come covered in algae? Hmm, they look pretty good for being wild cut and then shipped. I might take a chance for a few colorful corals.

I have heard mr. coral is hit or miss, sometimes you get good stuff sometimes you dont. The price is ok but you can find the same corals and better quality for a little more from other reefers on this site. I personally wont do business with them because it seems like a headache trying to coordinate shipping and contacting them. It seems you got really lucky with the shipping problem.

No, there was no algae on the plugs originally. It all grew in my tank. What's weird is I have no algae anywhere else in my tank (well not hair algae). If I had to guess I'd say it's phosphates/nitrates leaching from the new plugs, and the inability of my tang to get on top of the frag rack.

There must have been something wrong with your shipment from UPS. The time tables don't seem right. I live in Santa Maria, one of the destinations on the screen shot. There is not reason why the package would go from Ontario to Santa Maria and then to sylmar. Santa Maria is located an hour north of Santa Barbara. On a good day with no traffic it take 2 to 2 1/2 hours to go from Ontario to Santa Maria, not the one hour it's shows. Also why would you drive past sylmar since it is on the way from Ontario to Santa Maria. Any how, it's good to see the frags arrived in good condition.
