PICS!!

PICS!!

I know I have been remiss in posting pics but time has been scarce and I still haven't gotten a better camera. So here are some in the meanwhile, though none too good:

As I was taking this picture with my poor-man's light box (just a sheet of acrylic held in my left hand), I dropped the sheet and it swayed through the tank, taking out a mille and landing on a fungia...

Well it does look like things are settling in:) It's been so long since I've seen the tank, I'll have to thumb back through to confirm my thoughts, but it sure looks like things are getting bigger:D

Yup, the reef is starting to fill in nicely and I can get an idea of what it will look like when matured. Orange cap pieces are doing well too so that is good news.

OMG.. I thought I clicked on the wrong link at first.. this couldn't be Jonathans thread... I mean there were pictures and everything !!!!! :D

Looking good, sorry to hear about the milli beheading in the pursuit of the pictures :(. I know what you mean about a sheet slicing down at a horizontal angle through the tank like that.. been there, done that :(

I never went back in the thread from when I started following it, so this is the first time I have actually seen your tank.. now I have size envy :( hehehe :)

 But you're a better reefer than me Tom...

So more good news today: My alkalinity is finally down to a good range and I re-started my kalk top-off. I tested it at 8.40 dKh which is a good starting point. Yah! :D

Haven't seen the CBB eat anything yet but it sure does dart around picking at the rock. And that damn near-dead chromis is still alive! I haven't gotten it to eat yet either, but I am thinking about moving it to the fuge.

Foxface Lo looks like it got tagged a few times by a tang on both sides. Maybe just some sharp rock wounds, but they look like tang strikes.

Thanks! You must be color blind?

They annoy the hell out of me, but I just don't have the talent to do any better.

Our rabbit fish and largest tang used to mix it up quite a bit for the first couple of weeks. Now they are pretty much settled in and I haven't seen either one sporting any "war wounds" in a while now.. but I guess because tang and rabbit fish are both "equipped" to battle and large fish in general, that they feel the need to establish dominance like that. Ours always healed up quickly enough. Hope you have the same luck with yours :)

So you do have a camera!

That FTS shows the awesome depth of you display .... very nice!

Yes, I DO have a camera, I just can't use it. I can never get the white balance right. I wish a shot from the side turned out well enough to post because that is my favorite view right now.
