Maybe my algae bloom is doing it. With all the new water, new rock I have a ton of algae like setting up a new tank. I don't remember the water ever turning slightly green like this before.

green = algae bloom...you need lots of carbon, floss, and super skimming.

No. I figure I disrupted the system big time over the last couple of months. Removed all the rock to re-aquascape, removed part of the old sand bed, added new live rock... Also it ran without a sump or skimming for a couple of weeks when I ripped out the old fish room. When I brought the new sump on it added 180 gal of new salt water. Thats a lot of change. Lets see how the new skimmer does with it.

A couple questions.


1. Are you draining SW (from water changes) from your sink to your septic system?

2. Is there a system of how you measured how much salt to add and at what level in the SW tote?

2. No.

I just ppour in 1 bag for half a tub, and two bags for a full tub. Once it mixes for a day, then I check it and adjust if needed.
