Well, I did an inspection today and am still finding corals in stress. The clams are not happy either...so I don't know about this "no water change" thing.

Anyway, one acro that has been suffering for a while caught my eye and I decided to try and rescue it. Pulled it out nad guess what was staring me down? A friggin' acro eating crab!! I cannot figured out how they are getting into my system with the stringent QT protocol I have.

Anyway, they are both gonners. :( :D

So I mounted a frag rack in the display and moved about a dozen frags onto it from the QT. I have them right where I can keep a close eye on them. I still think i am having water quality issues but the overall appearance of the tank looks much better today.

Sorry about the scene at the restaurant. I really thought I had locked the door!!

Ok details please... :D

How's the sand bed removal coming along? The pair of scribbles I had are gone to a better home (larger tank). My tank looks very empty now. :(

haven't been able to do any more what with the folks and my stupid store. I have so much on my plate right now I can't even begin to get into the tank...want to come over and see?

Who got the scribbles?

and BTW, one of my yellow tangs is getting bullied again. And it's the same two fish, the other yellow tang, and the purple tang. I see it has a wound too...here we go again!

You really should be careful what you ask for Micki! Trust me, you don't want to know.

I bet I could top pretty much any story you have from when my boys were little! :)

I can't remember.

Ahhh ... the benefits of brain injury, can't "remember" dinner with the family

FLOOD-A-ROONIE

Well I did it again and flooded my tank room. I left the top-off for the QT tank in th emanual ON mode and went to bed. Today i was real busy but got some messages from the display tank that the ORP was getting low, so around 4 pm I went down to check and the whole place was flooded.

The QT tank was 1.002...a couple of frags had RTN'd, but the zoanthids and the candy cane were fine. I am so upset, I won't even vacuum the water up.

I started boosting the salinity, drawing off water, and opened up the line from the display fuge to the QT...when I left at 4:30 I had gotten it back up to 1.010. Talk about a wicked water change!

Display looks OK but the birdsnest is STNing. I am not even going to try and save it.

I am so relaxed now, I just want to set up 6 more tanks!

It's all good...It might make it...or I might frag it tomorrow. ORP is down to 261 most of the day though and that is the worst it's ever been.
