OK! Enough chat...Starting a 1000g+ Reef

Thanks!

So more good news. Tonight Blue ate with the rest of the pack, consuming the shredded nori and pieces of my home-made food.

Nothing much, its just hanging out and re-cycling. The new system though is a set of strips of painter's tape on the floor! I have some plans for re-stocking, but probably won't get around to them for another month at least. I'm just going to have to live vicariously though you and your lovely new blue tang.

Awesome!!!

He may be pic worthy soon then! :bum:

OK boys and girls, I did my best to get some shots. It's amazing how bad my glass looks when viewed in these pics. I just haven't been able to do the maintenance I should be due to my back issues. But I am glad to post some pics and a vid. of Big Blue joining the gang:

Looking good! I know a "first class" guy (Urbansage) who helped me out cleaning my tank while I am on the mend, but I don't know how far he is willing to travel. :D

The video gives a great perspective of his size. He is a monster! It looks like everyone gets along though. They were all taking turns eating from the sheet of seaweed.

I don't think he's big enough. Put him in a salt bucket and take a picture. I want to see the mouth touching one side and the tail the opposite. :D

saddleback clownfish I believe. he lives in the PLTA.

And Marc, that is actually how it was. And man was he annoyed about it. But I didnt want to net him and I didn't want any cupramine water going into my tank, so it was a long full-flush kind of acclimation.

I wish the pics and vid were better. It's just so hard to catch how wicked blue he is.
