OK something is changing...

yea this sunday im gonna try to rip the pvc apart, i hope i can! i glued that stuff on good. any ideas on how to do that?

how do u throttle back a pump? my pump did not come with any instructions. the only way i think i could do that is by using a ball valve? idk how else. is there something on teh pump itself?

ok so i think today was a BIG key to the puzzle. i am still planning on switching out my 90 degree angle on the intake, HOWEVER.....today i had another pump failure. this time i went to plug it back in and it never started back up. hmm bigger problem now. I ripped my pump out of teh plumbing, tore it apart.( now im late for work) and what did i find? in a matter of a few months, my kalkwasser has totally gunked the living CRAP out of the interior of my pump. my kalk gets pumped into my sump upstream from the pump. but i never thought that it would be that bad this quick. i scraped what i could off of the rotating part of the pump and put it back together. and it worked great. so i think my course of action is now to also clean the internals off REALLY well next week. i think thatll fix it. (along with the 90 elimination)

great find! I heard kalk can cause issues - that is wild. how fast are you adding Kalk? are you using a dosing pump or maxijet?
