old bulbs-poor color

I noticed my acros dulling out. I dont think nutrients are high, no algae growth but bubble. Only thing I can come up with is 10 month old 20K XMs.
Could this be it? Also, I dont have red bugs, had them in the past and I dont see any. thanks

one other thing, my skimmer was down for about a week and a half. A few weeks later they dulled. any ideas?

It could be the water quality has dropped without the skimmer definently do a couple extra water changes. It is time to change the bulb too that could also be the problem

just ordered a new bulb, switched to a phoenix 14k. Hope this works. Get a water change done while I wait.

WC's and new bulb and patience. You will be happy. You might want to cut the photoperiod down or put a screen on the tank for a week with the new bulb. Its been a while but I believe the Pheonix 14k puts out alot more light than the 20k XM. Worth looking into.

Thanks, yeah I plan on using some screen for a bit.
