Older pumps slowing down?

I've got a couple of very old 6100 pumps that appear to really have reduced output. I've cleaned them and still they seem very weak. Can these wear out over time? They're both probably at least 8 years old. Thanks.

They can, i suspect either the drive unit (prop assembly) is badly worn and failing, or the motor is half dead, it has 2 coils and one can fail and then you basically get a half speed pump, it will soon fail completely though due to the high load on that coil.

Thanks Roger, that's what I suspected. They do appear to be running about half output. But overall, these were the first units released from my LFS, so I've got my money's worth
