Oldude's Little Reef on the Prairie

How do you secure corals of that size when you move them? I have troubles with frags let alone whole colonies!

I believe when he says move he's referring to moving frags or colonies from one place to a other.

He also said secure when I move them so I think he might be asking if I glue them down - long story short the larger colonies have enough weight they stay in place.

My leopard wrasses kick up a lot of sand and it some of it lands on my A.tutuilensis colony every day - frustrating but they're worth it.

My pride & joy grown litterally from a crumb I saved off the small colony I lost in 2012

Amazing as usual!

Do you think the chalice will make it?
Thanks, every once in a while I chip the blue ridge back & let the chalice recover a blittle but if I left it I think it's safe to assume it would get completely covered over.

I would love to take some of those chips the next time, if you have any spares.

That looks real good!

Thank you.
Not sure how I can get them to you but you are welcome to more than chips, I'd be happy to give you a good size frag - The blue ridge colony is about 14 inches wide x 12 inches high x 8 inches front to back. The part that has the chalice in it is an offshoot.
In this FTS from several months ago you can get an idea of the size of the colony - for reference the tank is 8 feet wide.
