OMG look at this fish! (Gulf Signal Blenny)

Not cold water, but subtropical to tropical like the Blue Spotted Jawfish. They come from the same region, the southern end of the Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California). Though they live in shallower waters where the temperatures stay tropical longer.
For some time they should be able to handle higher temperatures than ever normal reef fish prefer (30°C are quite normal in the southern part of the Sea of Cortez during late summer and early fall), but need a cooler tank during the winter months.

I would really love some of these as companions for my BSJs.

Catalina gobies are actually still a subtropical species which prefers temperatures below 22°C in the summer and can handle temperatures as low as 14°C during the winter.

But even those are not cold water fish (there is actually no such thing as a "cold water fish").

The temperature zones are
- tropical
- subtropical
- temperate
- subpolar
- polar
