Here is a stomatopod that I picked up recently. It had me totally confused for awhile. Ever seen anything like it come through your shop? The origin is southeast Asia - probably the Philippines. She is a 10 cm spearer.

No, i have never seen a mantis like that.
In a few weeks we go to bali and meet our dealer. I hope i can get some species like that.

I have seen it once in northern Sulawesi several years ago. I'm sure it is undescribed. All I am certain of is that it is a lysiosquilloid.

It is amazing what keeps turnigh up.

Do you mind me asking what size tank you are keeping her in? And any full body shots?

Right now she is in my most stable photographic tank which is approximately 10 gal filtered by a Fluval 204. Eventually she will go to an 80 gal system.
