One more question about the Reeflux MH bulbs and magnetic ballast

I read the thread about the reeflux bulbs that I found very informative. Just need to know if I can use the reeflux bulbs on my mag ballast from Hellolights.com? I ask this because some say they can use it on their's and others say they can't.

mmotown, it seems like there is some contradicting information going on regarding the reeflux bulb, mag ballasts and whether they will fire them or not. Until recently, I have never heard of such a problem. My personal experience is with Reeflux 10 K 175 watt halides and have them firing on standard M57 probe start Hamilton magnetic ballasts. I started using the Reeflux bulbs in December of '05 and have never had a problem with them firing at all. I also do not see the pink color that some people seem to experience.

Here is a link to several metal halide brands and what ballasts they are compatable with. Some bulbs are designed for pulse start and others probe start. To be honest, I am not sure if the reeflux bulbs have the same requirements as all of the other Coralvue bulbs listed on the link as it does not specify but it may help you some anyway I hope. :) Anyway here is the link.

My first pair of 400W 10K fired up just fine. My second set would not fire, and I had to have a buddy light them the first time. After that no problem. Now I have the HQI ballast and they are MUCH brighter.
