You can't sue anybody, we lost out tanks too in Fl with the hurricanes last year. The first one we were in las vegas, when the power went out. I had a pump for the tank, and had someone looking in on the tank. They call, I told them to put the pump on the tank, but went the batterys ran out. The pump did not break siphon , and emptied my tank. When we got home I had a dead tank, lost it all. I had a generator but they did not know how to hook it up. The next one we were there and put the generator on the tank. The generator broke down and we could not buy one for three days but that tank made it because we had pumps running on it and it was cool that week. If you have a tank you need a generator or battery back-up that can run your tank for a week. WE moved to Las Vegas and I gave my generator away. But right now I am looking to buy one for the house with all the heat we are having this year. I am sorry to hear of you lost and do know that sinking feeling you get when you lose your tank but it's time that everybody looks into some way of saving their tanks with out power, because it can happen any were with the way the power Co. are running them now . All out power went out because they didn't do maintenance on their poles . The power would not have going out, if they did the maintenance on the poles.
