Absolutely stunning..............

I have bumped up the length of my lighting schedule. I was running my LEDs at daylight hours of around 6 to 7 hours. I have slowly bumped that up over the past few weeks to around 9 hours. I was not seeing the growth rate that I wanted before, but now that I have increased the photoperiod, I feel that I am seeing faster growth, without any loss of color. We'll see how this goes.

Well, not only am I dealing with eliminating zoa eating nudibranches, I have discovered very tiny flatworms crawling on the bottom of the front glass. They are very tiny, almost like babies. Very strange since I havent added anything to my tank in a long time. Maybe my Mystery Wrasse has been keeping them in check. Regardless, I am going to treat Flatworm Exit while there isn't really an issue, and take care of it early. I'll post what I do and how it goes soon.

make sure after 2-3 weeks to retreat the will be eggs that will hatch , other than that ive had no issues from using the treatment in case you have not had to do so yet. have a water change and some fresh carbon ready to go just in case. flat worms can put off a bunch of toxins into your tank when they die.

God!!! Now i know what i have. I checked what is the flatworm after reading this. My tank is full of flatworm (white, brown). I know exactly when and where i got those. I have too many. Sucks...

I had to deal with the flatworms and they were easy to eliminate. I siphoned a bunch out in a water change before I add the flatwworm exit. Then, added it again (per the instructions) a week later and I have never seen once since. I also tried a wrasse, but he either didn't have a taste for them or they grew too fast. Once again, the good news is they seem easy to eliminate. Just follow the instructions.

red bugs, flatworms are easy to get rid of and just part of having an aquarium. Its like dogs and fleas. no big deal! Just kill them and move on! AEFW well thats a big deal!

No, the mag 3 is perfect for it and was also the one recommended by NextReef. It works great, perfect tumbling speed of the pellets

Took a few pictures today. I haven't posted much lately, so thought I would add some new pictures.

Tank Update:

Not a whole lot going on in the tank front. Just been trying to leave the tank alone and let it grow. Things are doing well, just not growing as fast as I would like. I checked my phosphates with the Hanna digital and it came back reading .02. This leads me to believe that I am still not feeding enough. Also, I checked my Magnesium and it was a bit low. Tested at 1260, when I would like it to be between 1350-1400. Seems that higher Mg helps with SPS as far as encrusting/growing and utilizing the calcium. Somewhere I read on RC that when Mg is low, montis are the first to show it. I have lost a little color on my green monti, so I am bumping up my Mg to around 1400 to see if it helps with growth. I am also going to increase my coral feeding as long as I don't see increase diatom/cyano. I also read that higher Mg also helps keep the cyano away. Theres so much info/theory/speculation in this hobby that at times its tough to know what to believe and what is correct. But I do know that Mg is essential along with Ca and Alk, so increasing it should only help things. I'll post my findings of increased Mg in a few weeks. I'm sure Randy Holmes Farley has a good article on Mg, I'll go check it out.
