this is crazy, i've had my GBTA for 3 months ( was the diameter of a pop can when i got it ) and he's split twice, or once then one clone split again. i don't think i'm over feeding them, a piece of krill or half a silverside once a week? i do see them grabbing meaty food when i feed the tank, but not much. i suppose it could be the 400w halides?? all water parameters are perfect ( or close enough )

does anyone have any ideas???

at this rate the tanks going to over flow with a sea of green ( joking my LFS is begging me to bring them in )

Well you can share them all with your friends. Mine has never split.

OMG, the original is starting to split now. i can see it starting in one of the tentacles. in three months from one to four, i can quit my job soon and just raise anemones.

i now these pics aren't that good, it's a combination of dirty glass and my skimmer packed up. i had a bit of slime out break but i finally got my replacement skimmer up and running and things are clearing up slowly. i will work on more tonight.

the first is of the original a week before spilt. when i got him he was about 3" in diameter and here he is more like 6".

second one is after the first split. the original is on the right in this picture. and you can really see the slime infestation.

the last one is about 2 days after the split. the clone ( or the one on the left in pic 2 ) split again and one went left while the other went right ( the original is still in the middle) you can also see that the new skimmer is kicking in and the slime is on the run

Neat. I was hoping mine would split out and I would have an anemone tank. When my power went out not long ago, all it did was shrink down to the size it was when I got it, no split. :D
