hi !!!
concerning my two small ocellaris clowns..
both of them seem healthy, swimming, eating and i don't see any other
problemes.
but these past couple of days the smallest one has what i call it open mouth syndrome !!! i've looked in all my books trying to find what coukld be the cause..
it started shortly after they befriended my frogspawn.
his mouth is always open, almost looks like it's paralized this way,he swims, chases food and actualy gets it inn (he poops afterwards)
his chin is now stating to look rough somewhat but not sure as it'is barely visible.
no white spots and the side of his jaw seems caved in also and no rapid breathing..
i have both of them in a QT for now, took them out last night.
the QT is not big it's a small cube don't think it's even 5 gal but hooked up with a good hang on filter and heater with DT water.
they are doing fine for now and hoping someone can guide me as to how to get this little guy back in shape if possible.
unless of course this is a malformation and nothing can be done about it
all water par are perfect i keep the temp at 77 and ph is usualy 8.15 day time
gravity at .025..
the only thing i did different is i got these from a different lfs that i just found instead of the one i usualy go to who has been there for over 10y and only deals with marine life.. not saying these other guys are bad they seem verry good and have real nice specimens but it's the first time i've had trouble with a fish in all my years experience ..
any help or info would be appreciated
thanks for reading
