opinions on new lights for 525g

I have been designing a new light rack for my 525g. and was wanting some opinions on this set up. I was thinking 4 of these with the dimmable ballasts, reeflux 12k bulbs, and I would use the bigger reflectors. I would later add some t5s for dusk and dawn.

These would be replacing 4 400w 14k Hamilton mag. ballasts in Hamilton's retrofit reflectors with 110w VHO actinics. The new light rack will be adjustable up and down with an electric wench on a switch and pulley system. All input appreciated :)

The tank is 96x36x36 with 6''+ sand bed

don't think it'll work. send me the tank.
actually it sounds awesome- the t5s will be a big help- I have a mix of lights and i like the variety of light levels- I've never dimmed a MH, tho- would be interested to see what others say about them.

Sounds awesome...I just purchased 4 lumenarc III's with lumatek ballasts and 14k ushio's for my tank. I will not be running any actinics.

suggest luminarc or luminmax (they spread out the light)

not luminbright reflectors (they are a more direct beam of light straight down)

Thanks Chad, I was checking into the luminarcs, and think that those are probably the reflectors I will use. I like the option for the fan inputs. I would run an in line fan on each end, and run the ducting to an outside vent.

Does anyone know if the air conditioning add on will reduce the reflection of the bulb?

I use the Reeflux 12k bulbs and really like the color...

Are you using any actinic supplements? What ballasts are you running them on? Got any pics?
Thanks,
Mike

Yes, the air conditioning add on will reduce the reflection of the bulbs. At least this is what the company told me. I opted to not go with AC add on.

It's all wrong, just give me the tank please and I'll set it up the right way.

Looks like your on the right path, lets see some pic's once your done.

This is what I decided to order, 4 of the 12k 400w coralvue ballasts with large Lumenarc reflectors from reefexotics and an IceCap T5 Retro 4x48 Kit from aquariumspecialty.

I will get some pics when I get them installed.

Thanks to all for helping!!
