For a tank around 250-280 they run around 1500-2500 on average. If the Marineland 300 had starphire on the front 2100 isn't a bad price. If I had to guess the LeMar tank you got was almost at cost.. Its probably one they have had for a while or one they just wanted gone! One of our LFS will do that from time to time.. If they keep one in stock for to long they will sell them almost at cost.

BTW I wasn't suggesting you should have got the 20" tall tank.. Like I posted earlier IMO that tank was way to short and just didn't make since for the spot you had picked for your tank. I just said get what you want and don't settle. Over all the cost of the tank compared to everything else isnt' that much. But it is the one part thats a PITA to change later if you want something different..

I think they just got it in there last Wednesday. I stop in at lunch a few times a week just to kill some time. I drove about 35 miles home ran it by my wife, got her OK and raced back there before they had time to think about changing the price.
