ORA Blue Mandarin scheduled availibility...

Jus thought i would share for anyone who is interested in these tank bred beauties, who will also be available in pairs... I received an email from Jason at ORA farms this morning concerning an inquiry I sent him recently... the Blue Mandarin will be ready for shipping in about 2 months, this june... jus a FYI for anyone whom this may peak interest for...

I bought a pair of ORA blues last June/July. They ate pellets from day one, unlike the ORA spotted I had, and have recently began to spawn.

My spotted never took pellets or frozen and I have read many less than stellar reviews, but the blues I received behave exactly as advertised. They eat NLS small pellets, ova, cyclopeeze, and pick at frozen mysid.

that is awesome... your getting me excited! lol ... may i ask how much you paid and was it from a LFS or a online retail?

I got them from LFS. They were the only blues he had and he has not received anymore since. I can't recall the exact price but I believe they were around $120-150. Well worth it imo.

I spot feed the NLS pellets with a turkey baster.

I'd recommend finding a LFS that can get them and paying for them ahead of time, for some reason the blues are released in limited numbers.

Interesting. I had bad luck with an ORA spotted, but maybe I'd try a blue after reading this. Or maybe I'll just stick with my scooters.
