one side looks Grade A for sure b/c of the connecting white, the other side not quite ... i would say B+ , only bc the 2 whites are not quite touching.

Honestly they both look fine. I wouldn't worry about it. Grading is in the eye of the beholder, kind of like beauty. ;) I actually like it better.

I would not have paid that much for those clowns. But if you like them then that's all that matters no matter what 'grade' they are.

According to the grading system those would be B and not A

Grade A should have all the whites connecting but they are great looking Picassos nonetheless.

it answers your question. the top fish is your fish, a grade B, I photoshopped the same fish below it to show you what a grade A would look like. Wasn't that your question?
Yeah thats it...lol...I thought u were playing a joke on me...lol..I was like what the heck....why are there two clowns that look the same??latr that night I realized the white marks were all the way across and the two clown were different lol...

I paid 100 dollars for two B grade Picasso from SA at a LFS in Houston. I would not get too hung-up on the grade of you fish, just if you like them or not.
A. percula will looks a lot better as they age. Orange brighter, Black darker and white whiter. Your fish seem very beautiful.
You have Grabe B Picasso. Grade A should have all three white stripes connected

Thanks OrionN,,I do believe its a grade B clown too...I don't really like him to be honest...but I'll keep it since I payed a lot for it..lol

IMHO, how people grade the fish does not mater, at least to me. It just due to how nice the fish look in the buyer's eye. Strictly speaking Culturedcreatter's fish is grade B meaning not all the white strips are connected. If the other side is similar or about the same, I think it is a very beautiful fish. Not only in color but also in shape and size of the ventral fins which can be lacking is a lot of designer Percula or Ocellaris
If I am looking for a "grade A Picasso" and willing to pay 200.00 per "grade A Picasso", I would not have a problem with paying 200 dollars for that fish. All white connected or not, I can't see any pattern that is nicer than the pattern of that fish.

IMO the grading thing is overrated. It's kind of ridiculous really. I paid way too much for my black percs, and I paid that because I the lip area around the mouth is still bright orange. Maybe thats not typical of what people want, but they looked awesome. Grading them is just pointless, they are very cool looking fish.

Well thanks for the support.ima change my mind about him once his adult coloration comes I'm sure...:)

Me too. For me, shape is first, then we can look at coloration. Physical deformed equal to a bad fish to buy in my book
