Received these today and they are awesome. What are the light requirements of these two corals? I use two 250 watt DE Helios 20k's on a light rail 3. Thank you for another awesome order.

Aznepydna,

Thank you for your order and post. The corals you purchased were housed in our Aquaculture Coral and Marine Life Facility under Double-ended IceCap 400 Watt metal halides. Your light rail system will work great for you when following a light acclimation schedule.

We suggest keeping the lights off for the first 10 hours after being placed into the aquarium. On the second day we suggest turning your lighting on for only half the normal amount of your photoperiod. (You may realize even better results by using half light for the entire first week.) Each day (or week, for the slowest method,) thereafter increases the time by an additional hour until you are back to your regular time. Light acclimation for corals is a slow process and can take up to a few months.

We hope you find this information helpful.

Pat,

I toured your facility last summer and am aware of the lighting you use in the coral facility. What I want to know are these corals low or high light requirement? Should I place them high in my tank or low? Thank you.
