Orange Shoulder Tang

In Memoriam
Well the day that I had a rock slide I went to CF to get some more matrix and my daughter fell "in love" with a Orange shoulder tang. I tried to tell her that because of the rock slide I didn't want to add anything new to the tank for a while. Well my wife got involved and needless to say I lost the battle. Here it is a subadult in the process of the color shift. I will say that its a brave fish. Doesn't take crap from any of the other tangs. Even my crazy yellow tang.

Thanks everybody. The only problem with the Orange Shoulder will be when it gets too big for my tank. If it Reachs 1'2" I think that I will have to get rid of it. Or hopefully by that time my big tank dreams will be relized. As far as I know they grow pretty slowly. My Hippo Tang is over a year old and only about 5 -6 inches long. Although there different genus I hope that the growth rate is similar.

Yep Kent hes changing. When he is stressed or when the actinics are on you can see more of his true color. You can see the color line back behind the orange patch
