Orchid Dottyback with Royal Gramma?

So right now Ive got a fairly large (2" maybe) royal gramma in my 120 reef, and was wondering if I should feel safe adding a tank-bred orchid dottyback (smaller) to the tank. I understand that normally orchids are slightly more aggressive than the grammas, and both look similar in a lot of ways, but the royal gramma is larger and established already. Could this work, or is it just an accident waiting to happen? Thanks everybody

There is a sticky thread in the "new to the hobby" forum where fish compatibility questions will be answered.

I've had no issues with mine, but every fish is different. My gramma had been in the aquarium around 2 years and was fairly large. When I introduced a small tank bred orchid the gramma made sure the new fish knew who was boss, but once the orchid figured out where the gramma's home was there have been no issues. They even hang out together now.

I have both in my tank and the Orchid did grow bigger and became a bully of my tank, 210 gallon, for all the smaller fish including grammas and smaller wrasses. But now I have a few Lyretail Anthias and 3 adult Solon wrasses and they keep his aggression in check. I have larger fish but they don't care what the smaller fish do as long as they stay out of their way.

I had 4 Frimandi, 2 Springeri a Flavirtex, Skunk Pseudochromis, Bicolor Pseudochromis, Purple Pseudochromis and 3 Royal Grammas at the same time. The Royal Grammas were spawning during the summer.

No fighting amoung any of them.
