Ordered a generator for $150 after $150 rebate

I went back to Kragens and the cashier said "But you bought it online, we only give that if you buy it in store" but I managed to get her to print at Rebate Authorization Receipt for me. I'm not sure if you need it if you have your internet receipt...but better safe than sorry.

I've not had time yet to try it out (or get gas for it either)

I think the close out code expired.

I just got a pickup receipt in a regular 8x11 paper,

I asked for a rebate receipt but the employee said that is it. I am going to staple it together with my online order summary. Did you guys get other forms of receipts?

I used the closeout code, it was good for 15% off. I only had the pickup receipt and had to convince the cashier (I went back the next day) to get the RAR. The printout is probably good enough. I mean you DID buy the thing, so you should get the rebate. On the other linked sites, some people called the rebate center and they were told to send the packing slip receipt (for those that had it delivered). I'm going to include all the receipts I have.

well ,I just orderd mine, i will be picking up tomorrow, but I made the dead line for the rebate...

:)

I haven't fired mine up yet but this kind of equipment would just make the same noise as a lawn mower..
maybe can add a small cherry bomb muffler to tone it down real well.

Yep "sounds like a lawnmower running" was the comment my wife made today when I fired mine up. Worked like a champ though.

Most of the noise is in the engine, not the exaust. so adding a muffler wont do too much to quiet it down

IMPORTANT INFO:
SPOKE TO My KRAGENS INSIDE PERSON AND I WAS TOLD THAT "IF YOU BUY THIS UNIT FROM KRAGEN, AS SOON AS YOU PUT GAS IN IT IT IS NO LONGER RETURNABLE TO KRAGENS. SO basically if you buy one take it home fill it up to test it and it does not work, you have to contact the champion CO. to get it serviced.
THERE IS NO TAKING IT BACK FOR A REPLACEMENT OR MONEY BACK to kragen......
thought all should know this.......

Actually alot of retailers have stricter policy regarding mechandises with small engines. This item is bombarded with notes about don't return to the store. I am sure the manufacturer should get most problems taken care of.

Looks like there is a new rebate through april for $150 for those who might be interested

Ok peeps read carefully:
after i found out that once you walk out the door with these generators (put gas in them) you cannot return them, i decided to contact champion to see wht type of service they offer. I was assured that if it didnt work you could take it to a local service center (located on senter rd in sj. and they would fix it no charge as long as the warranty was still in affect. SOOOOOO i looked up the number and called them only to find out that THEY DONT SERVICE CHAMPION GENERATORS.... seems he's recieved a few inquiries on these but has nothing to do with them ................... It really left me saying, HMMMMMMMM ???????? called them back because i wanted to find another center within decent range to san jose and was put on hold FOREVER......
