ordered my fish from blue zoo

Do a freshwater dip for flukes. These fish are prone to flukes so be careful. That is a pretty common fish, you could only find online?

In florida I am sure they are but unfortunately here in Rocky Mount NC not alot to choose from...
Did a methylene blue bath for 45 minutes for any skin an gill flukes, ick, velvet, fungus and any other parasites and bacterial infections.

I must say the fish they sent looked very healthy and thick, it is about 3.5 inches. Nice looking specimen.

So where are the obligatory pictures? Congrats on the new addition, they are a beautiful fish![/QUOTe

You are so correct....give him a little time to relax after long trip and treatment, he is acting a bit shy, hopefully he will settle in a bit then pics are a coming..thanks Dkuhlmann....

Just to throw my input in here even though its a bit late, I have placed one order with BlueZoo, so maybe i just got unlucky but non the less, All my fish were DOA or DAA within 24 hours. they went into a tank with pristine water that has housed fish for many months without a single death. Wasn't to pleased with there customer service either. Now I have a $100 store credit that i don't plan to use any time soon, if at all.

Thats just my 2 cents, everyone will have different experiences and this is just my personal opinion.

I didn't order many fish from them, but rather shrimp and crabs. So far I had not have any DOA and only one DAA of an acropora crab which they gave me credit for.
With new fish you always need to expect diseases and every new fish I get will get a prophylactic formalin bath, just in case, even if they look perfectly healthy.

As for DAA: I had that with a pipefish from LA that died the next day - you are simply never safe from that, especially if you buy fish unseen instead cherry-picking them at a LFS.
