OrionN Green Gigantea

OrionN

Moved on
After a long long hunt, I finally got a very nice small Green Gigantea. I just got him into my QT, not more than 2 minutes ago before I took the first picture. Here he is. Best of luck to me :)
Pay no mind to the picture of the Purple Bonsai

Very nice! Was it from another reefer's tank? I ask because it doesn't look like a newly imported gig.

Thanks everybody.
D-Nak,
This anemone is small only about 3 inches or so now, He will enlarge when he is not stress I am sure but not by a huge amount. The LFS (not local to me) had him for 5 months in his tank. I got a lead on it from one of the reefer her on Reefcental and ordered him online.

Just got home. The light is out but he looks great. A little smaller because of the light is out. I don't expect any problem with him,

Quick and dirty picture with my cell phone this AM. My female SnowOnyx is 3.5 inches so you can see how small this guy is. That is Red Sea Xenia on the glass. This is the healthiest Gigantea I ever get, at least at 16 hrs mark.
I plan to feed him a bit over the next several days. I will keep him in DT for a while to get him larger then get him into my DT. Once this is done, I will out up my PT. I am though hunting for anemone. I still want a Red Magnifica but will not have the room for one.

Hi Minh

i am affraid those clowns are too big and are roughing the nem especially newly arrived to new environment...... i usually have no clowns in my newly shipped carpet but that just me.

that is just a nice carpet and is in a good home.

There isn't a tank that I have that does not have an adult pair or adult pair+ of clowns in it. I am keeing a close eye on this pair. If there is any question, they are guilty and will go into prison ASAP. They have been warned in simple yet complete terms :). So far they have been in their best behavior.
I feed the fish this AM and squit the mixture of mysis and flake in the direction of the anemone. He gobble them up very quickly. I think he will be just fine.

On my Computer screen, the color is very accurate. His color is bright green.

already attempting to feed the nem? haha you are super brave. I dont dare do that for the first month at least. I am too scared to feed my new nems.

your nem is very green on my screen also, it can not get anymore green or else it will be yellow :)

Also i love small gigs, its ALOT more fun watching them grow.

He looks absolutly healthy, fleshi pinpoint mouth, Well elogated tentacles. I am really happy with this guy. His mouth was pinpointed even in the bag.

I think this goes to show that if an importer is willing to property QT gigantea, once cured of the ailment, they can ship well and can thrive immediately upon arrival.

It's a great looking nem, and I'm happy that you finally found your green gig! Happy holidays to you!
