very clean! Beautiful setup I also had my up and downs with my reef tank myself . it's part of the learning curve. Happy Reefing:bounce3::bounce3::bounce2:

thanks you, it sure is a roller coaster ride sometimes.

So, no new updates for awhile. Its been summer and very varm and lots of time away from the tank.

ZeoVit experiment is no longer in progress. I worked well for me but i stopped it for 2 reasons:

1) I forget to shake reactor and dose. I need automation.
2) AEFW again. I will try jda's in tank treatment with Levamisole HCL.

So thats all for now, fingers crossed for a good result.

Very cool tank IMO! Also inspired by Mr. Denadai, I too have plans for a tank with no live rock and only big skimmer, siporax and BB. Where did you get your white board? Or what kind of material is it?

Where in Sweden do you live? As you can see, I'm living 'nearby' :lmao:

Cheers!!!

Welldone ormet,that's amazing:beer:
How many are there? Will you keep any of them?
Thanks, i will keep none of them. The parents will kill all contenders for living space and territory. I got 34 fry. 2 died from me being clumsy. Several more have died the last week from me not hatching any more artemia. Eat frozen or die :P i think i have 20-25 left i will sell to LFS next week :)

The scape is so simplistic.

I'll say it. Best reef I've seen in the year I've been looking at reefs to emulate.
Too kind sir too kind. Many thanks!

Awesome tank ormet you have done a brilliant job mate
Thanks Scotty, high praise coming from you!

How is your lovely reef doing mate?
Good to hear from you, i've been meaning to congratulate you on your new born. Just had a slump and too busy with other things!

Tank is not doing good at all at the moment.

1) AEFW again, treated tank with Lev with some success.
2) My hard wood floors need fixing so i need to move the tank for a month. Such a hassle.
3) Last week i've had 2 RTN incidents. I have no idea why. Lost a big colony pink stylo & one blue tipped A. Tenuis just today. Here i was patting my back being full of myself :P

Hey neighbour! I live in Stockholm, almost in the city center :)

The white board is just Acrylic glass also sold as Plexi or Perspex. The BB, big skimmer, siporax aproach worked very well for me. When i started to experiment with sand and zeo it all went downhill. Nothing wrong with sand or zeo, one just need to pick one and stick to it and stop making changes like i do.

Would love to see your build thread!

Is the board inside or outside the aquarium?

Sorry man about the stupid AEFW and other issues...such is the ups and downs of a reef tank. Hang in there. Will get better. :)

Nothing to see here! Lazy reef is no more, its now a pile of rocks, sand, cyano, sludge and mostly brown Acropora.

But god damn the Acros has started to grow since i went from pristine lazy reef to nutrient filled pile of rocks with integrated septic tank (sand bed).

I will come back when i have a reef i am proud of again. For now its an experiment not worthy of displaying.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Ah man, sorry about that. Well, I will bump the thread in 6 months if I dont see an update. Hopefully you are going to pull the tank to look awesome again before that. :D

Ormet, Sorry to trouble you, but I was wondering if you had a moment to help me find someone on Saltvatterdguiden.se. I heard there is someone with a nice SPS tank that is using a Pacific Sun Pandora. I tried to join the forum and go on the English speaking section, but after I joined I can't see any threads. The site just keeps listing everything as "private". I'm sure I filled something out wrong and caused my own problem, but anyways.

Are you a member? Do you have any idea who this person is that has a nice SPS tank and uses a Pacific Sun Pandora fixture?

If you are busy, I absolutely understand. Looking forward to your next reef because the first one was spectacular!
